Well, I've been in Florida for just over a week and have just been looking through a week's worth of snaps and choosing. For a start here's the first photo I took when I got here, of palm trees reflected in the green swampy water.
See what looks like a frog swimming in the middle? Click on the picture to enlarge and if you look carefully you'll see the rest of the turtle under the water. Four or five of them were paddling lazily around. I think I picked it because it's so very different a scene from the biting winter cold of Endinburgh I had just left. Living crreatures were moving a lot faster than that to keep warm! Everything was a bit upside down and vague for me anyway as I took in so much that was new. I was glad to have a bit of relaxed time before starting the course, which is pretty full-on. So what was I reflecting on here watching the turtle? All sorts no doubt, but the medium my thoughts were swimming in was the gentle joy of being in a new place with time to pause and reflect, and to be quite shallow and at ease. I've been feeling the bliss of 'holiday happiness' . But actually that's the same feeling it's worth cultivating at home, in your lunch break, before the alarm goes off, late in th evening when everything is done. Whenever, wherever, it's good to go at turtle speed. at home in one's familiar surroundings.
OK, one more photo
, can't figure out how to remove it so ignore the small one and read on :-)
Lush vegetation and another lake. I detect a lake theme, well, a reflection theme. I wasn't thinking at all much when I was sitting here to be honest, just enjoying sitting outside and feeling warm to be honest. This is a a time when I could choose to study and travel and I'm relishing every second. And a good question that comes to mind is what do you want to be doing in your life, I mean really? What steps can you take towards doing what you really want to be doing? ( ..and it took a lot of graft to get to this place, believe me)
And what could you do even in a small way to give yourself some of that future experience now? Something to reflect on.....
The rain has stopped and I'm off out into the sunshine......

Hi Judy,
A quick "HELLO". It's midnight and I'm falling asleep - way past my bedtime... I found the site! VERY IMPRESSIVE ...I will read more first chance I get. With Carol visiting for the week - my time is limited. It was lovely to meet you and I wish you every success with your program and ongoing education.
Best,
Lin-z
