This is turning into a bit of a theme and after writing the last blog I realised there were at least two more things stopping me.
One thing holding me back was that I wasn't ready in all ways. Parts of me had to catch up with the rest. that's a seriously important one. There certainly are times when the gap between the conception of an idea and the birth of what follows from it is a very short gap, but not always. Gestation with some species of project takes longer. Allowing oneself to be stopped while pondering further and getting on with life and work in other ways is vital at times.
So the 'what' that's been stopping me has been important work for me to be doing on the inside. This reminds me of what Lourdes Callen says in her chapter in my book Good Question! (look over there on the left). She offers the question ' What is your question?' and says:
"Questions open the way to meeting the future and bringing it about. It takes time for them to be perceived in our inner world, expressed and then carried with us. Sometimes we have to live with a question that is part of 'The riddle of life' and it only gets solved over time.
Living with questions brings home the need for inner strengthening. Then we can feel all right even though we do not have all the answers or solutions yet.'
And I feel great!
