When I was in the middle of all the details-to-meet-the-deadline work for Good Question Day I was having a snack and came across this Chinese saying on a packet of dried fruit:
"The clock flies backwards over the pristine mountains of happiness."
Next thoughts were 'Right! I'm off!" and I put my walking boots on and was out and up the mountain nearest to where I live.
As you can see (click on picture to enlarge) it was one of those incredibly beautiful Indian summer days we have been blessed with lately and this was indeed, for me, the 'pristine mountain of happiness'.
It took time that I could ill-afford away from my desk and all the work was waiting for me, not waiting patiently either, when I returned....
But I had more energy from walking and filling my lungs with fresh air, I was inspired by all the beauty around me, my thinking was refreshed by chatting happily with some other walkers and I definitely had'second wind' for getting on with things when I got back to my desk.
So yes, I'd say the clock did fly backwards over the pristine mountains of happiness and I'm grateful to whoever added that quote to their packets of berries!
