On a site that has many inspiring quotes: ( www.gurteen.com ) I just came across an inspiring quotation from Albert Schweitzer:
"Judging by what I have learned about men and women, I am convinced that far
more idealistic aspiration exists than is ever evident. Just as the rivers
we see are much less numerous than the underground streams, so the idealism
that is visible is minor compared to what men and women carry in their
hearts, unreleased or scarcely released. Mankind is waiting and longing for
those who can accomplish the task of untying what is knotted and bringing
the underground waters to the surface."
I like it because I wholeheartedly agree with it. In fact that was the inspiration behind writing my book 'Good Question!'. I was busy being a single parent in out-of-the-way North Wales and wondering what to do to make a contribution to life on a bigger scale, to bring some of my 'underground water' to the surface. Once I had the idea for the book the easiest part of all was asking the contributors to contribute. Why? Same reason as me, they all want to be making their best contributions to life and were happy to share their 'tools of the trade', helpful questions that open up conversations into new spaces. Very happy in fact because they all enjoy helping people, watching the difference that can take place in people's lives, sometimes rapidly, through questions inhelpful coaching-type conversations and presentations.
I had no idea I was going to write about my book when I pasted in the quote, but then it seemed to be the important thing to write. My enthusiasm comes from having a product to sell that is completely in line with my values. I want everything I sell, whether one-to-one coaching, workshops, books or services to associates, to be in line with my values. I 'm an un-tier of knots and a bringer of underground waters to the surface - and so are you!
More news soon about how....
I'm developing my business.... I seem to be in my chrysalis longer than expected! I've got several possible business names for encompassing the work I already love doing with what I'll be enthusiastically bringing in from the world of raw and living foods - for those who are interested. Business name, products to suit people at different times, all sorts of good things. Perhaps it's taking longer because I'm untying knots and bringing up underground water of my own, working on various specific projects and.....I've got idealistic aspirations!
I'd love to help you bring your idealistic aspirations into reality, easily, joyfully, in the ripeness of time.I'd love to know what they are,. What underground streams do you want to bring to the surface? What knots need untying?
