I've known I wanted to write about this photo since I took it a few days ago and haven't been sure what to write about till now. The light, the lake, sunshine, boats, horizon with a hint of mountain. Simple, peaceful.
I was having a catching up day at home doing all sorts of business and domestic catching up tasks. It was too nice to stay inside all day so I set off down the road and found this spot just off the road out of town from where I live.
Interesting, I can't remember what else I did that day but I remember being 'here' looking at the scene and slowing right down.
So, two points here.
All the time I've lived here that place has been sitting there and I've only just found it. What else is there near me that I just haven't seen yet? Other nice places, yes, and also people, opportunities, bits of books I haven't finished, different recipes to try?
Also, it's about stopping and letting things be really simple, even just for a few minutes, even if it is tipping it down out there and stopping means just sitting and going blank for a few minutes or looking at a flower in a vase, or a photo on a blog even.
I'll leave it there, simply.
